Villa Ileana

In the Lubéron, you will find this magnificently restored hamlet, nestled in a charming yet fully preserved site, where the art of hospitality and respect for privacy are combined. Villa Iléana is surrounded by land with an area of ​​40 hectares which offer a 360 view of the Lubéron hills and the Lure mountain.

This charming property can accommodate 24 guests thanks to its 12 bedrooms and 10 bathrooms. It is a real Provencal stone house which has a heated swimming pool, a private tennis court and which offers splendid views.

This property is in fact a small hamlet made up of 3 houses: the upper house also called the winter house, and the lower house also called the summer house and the recent renovation of an additional house with 4 bedrooms. In all there are 12 bedrooms, all of which are en-suite.

In each house there are authentic wooden beams on the ceilings and either tiled floors or old wood floors. Particular attention has been given to the interior decor: there are sumptuous fabrics, refined bathrooms, glazed terracotta tiles, classic taps, antique objects unearthed in the surroundings, embroidered linens, art of the Provencal table.

Important note: the house has a total of 12 bedrooms, but exceptionally the villa can only be rented as 10 bedrooms during the summer 2023.

Bedrooms

The upper house – the winter house :
– Bedroom 1 – Ground floor : a queen size bed (160 cm), a living room, a desk with a TV, a sofa, a bathroom with shower, bath, sink and toilet. Direct access to the terrace and the swimming pool. Spectacular view of the Lubéron hills.
– Bedroom 2 – Ground floor : two single beds (90 cm) which can be connected, a bathroom (shower, sink and toilet) and a very nice view.
– Bedroom 3 – First floor : the largest suite, which contains two single beds (90 cm) that can connect, a TV, a desk, an armchair, a wardrobe and a large bathroom with two sinks, a bathtub, a shower and toilets.

The lower house – the summer house :
– Bedroom 4 – Ground floor : two single beds (90 cm) which can be connected, a shower cubicle (sink and shower). The separate toilet is in the hall. Direct access to the terrace.
– Bedroom 5 – First floor : two single beds (90 cm) or one double bed (180 cm), a bathroom (sink, shower and toilet). Private access.
– Bedroom 6 – First floor: two single beds (90 cm) or one double bed (180 cm), a TV, a bathroom (bath, shower, sink and toilet). Private access and view of the Lubéron hills.

Indoors

The upper house – the winter house:
On the ground floor there is a charming fully equipped kitchen, with an American fridge, two sinks, plenty of cupboards, a large oven, a dishwasher, a microwave oven, a toaster, a coffee machine and a dining table.
Near the kitchen there is a large living room with a fireplace, sofas, a TV and a DVD player. It is a very calm and peaceful place, perfect to relax.
From this room a small hallway, which contains a guest toilet, leads to a very large double bedroom which has its own bathroom and small living room. A second double bedroom is also located on this level. It also has its own bathroom and has been furnished with magnificent antique furniture.
There is also a utility room with a washing machine, dryer and iron on the ground floor.
From the living room, a narrow staircase, lit with small lights, leads to the larger bedroom which is therefore located on the first floor. This suite is very large. It has beautiful beamed ceilings and an old wooden floor. Note that this room may not be suitable for elderly people, due to the stairs to climb.

The lower house – the summer house:
From the small entrance hall, which has a guest toilet, you will find on the right a very large and bright kitchen which contains lots of cupboards, an American fridge, an oven, a toaster, a coffee machine, two sinks, a TV and a dining table. The kitchen opens onto a large terrace which has two outdoor tables. One is enough for 10 guests and the other is enough for 6 guests. The view is lovely.
A double bedroom is also accessible from the entrance hall. This room has its own shower cubicle, but it does not have a toilet. Guests sleeping there can use the lobby toilet.

An external staircase, just off the front door, leads to two double bedrooms which each have an en-suite bathroom and wooden beams.

The new house:
Downstairs is a large kitchen, a large dining room for 20 guests and a large living room with fireplace.

A second pool

Outdoors

The gardens highlight the beauty of this Mediterranean countryside.
Between the two houses there is a terrace decorated with a trellis and virgin vines, where a dining table can be added if desired.
There is a large heated swimming pool with an electric cover. Next to the pool, there is a room for storing pool accessories, where there is also a ping-pong table and a pétanque court. You can enjoy superb views of the surrounding countryside both from the swimming pool and from the pétanque area. A brand new second swimming pool is also available on the site, as well as a complete spa with jacuzzi, sauna, hammam, gym, relaxation room and massage rooms.
The tennis court is set back slightly from the house, in the shade of Scots pines.
The swimming pool is heated between May 15 and September 28, it can be heated outside these periods for a supplement to be determined according to the period.

Location

The house is located approximately an hour and a half from Aix-en-Provence and Avignon.
Simiane-la-Rotonde, the « town of character », is the nearest village (6 km). It is considered to be one of the most beautiful villages in the hills of Haute Provence. Thanks to its altitude (600-700 m), the village enjoys fresh air which is welcome in midsummer. For many years, Simiane was the capital of lavender, and is still considered a major production center. A traditional music festival takes place every year from half of July until half of August.
Banon, the village made famous for its goat cheese wrapped in chestnut leaves and surrounded by a raffia ribbon, is 15 km away.
Every Saturday morning there is a big market in Apt, a very pretty little town with shops and supermarkets. Apt is 19 kilometers, or 25 minutes by car.
